The Million Tree Project

You care about the environment, and so do we!

Thanks to our recycling program, we have been able to make contributions to Shanghai Roots & Shoots Million Tree Project. The funds donated in the past were used to plant trees in Inner Mongolia to help reverse the effects of desertification and improve both the ecological and humanitarian conditions there.

In 2016, we have decided to go one step further: plant a whole forest in 2017!

We Did It! Thank you so much for helping us reach our goal - keep an eye out for news & updates about our EperForest!

Please continue to support our efforts by helping us return your recyclables. To learn more about how to recycle with us, click here.

About Shanghai Roots & Shoots Million Tree Project

Started in 2007, The Million Tree Project’s mission is to raise community awareness of the Earth’s precious environment. Designed to improve both ecological and humanitarian conditions in Inner Mongolia by planting oxygen-producing trees, they can help reverse the intense desertification from climate change, over-grazing, and over-farming.

Additionally, sandstorms often strike Inner Mongolia and its surrounding areas each spring, destroying local homes and forcing many people to flee their native land. The goal of this project is to reforest the area in order to revitalize the land and block sandstorms.

Each tree planted is also maintained and monitored properly by approved local farmers as well as trained professionals from the Department of Forest Science’s Nursery Technology Cooperative at Oregon State University, USA.
